ANSAR-UD-DEEN NURSERY & PRIMARY SCHOOL HISTORY
Ansar-Ud-Deen Nursery and Primary school was founded 2nd May 1989 with three staff (two teaching and one non-teaching) and twelve pupils. The school was officially opened on 1st January 1990. the occasion was graced by eminent members of the society including the National President Late Alhaji R.S. Ola Oki, the Missioner late Alhaji A.A. Alaya, The State Council Chairman, late Alhaji S. Ola Ayinde, the Lagos Branch Chairman Alhaji L.A.I. Subair. Miss K.O. Orimogunje was the headmistress from inception till October 1994. Miss K. Ashagbe took the mantle of office from October to December 1994 as the acting Headmistress. The present Headmistress was employed in January 1995 by the Board of Management Chaired by late Alhaji F. A. Durosimi-Etti.
The current HM, Alhaja R.O Yussuf resumed on January 1995 to the school with 250 pupils, 7 teaching staff and two non-teaching staff. The population of the school is presently 464 with 23 teaching staff and eight non-teaching staff. The school had been recording 100% success in both the state and National Common Entrance Examination, since 1995 when the school presented her first set of primary school leavers.
In 1999, when the school celebrated her 10th year anniversary, the following voluntary organizations (i) Boys Scout (ii) Junior Red Cross (iii) Girls Guild, had a day for investiture in this school. These organizations still exist in the school to date.
The school had its first Inter-house sports as part of the activities to mark the 10th year anniversary. 1999 also witnessed the celebration of AWWAL MUHARAM ( the 1st day of Muslim New Year) which is now an annual celebration. In the year 2002, the graduation of pupils who can fluently read Arabic text through the practice and reading of the Holy Quran was added to the celebration of the Muslim New year. It was in the Year 1999, the pupils and staff of the school observed the 1st Jumat prayer on the school premises. The prayer was led by the late IMAM B. EKEMODE.
The school had recorded, is recording and will continue to record more and more progress in the activities of the children through their academic performance and the other activities of the voluntary organizations.
The most current addition to the school’s progress is the introduction of the DAY CARE SECTION that caters for children from 3months old to two years. This is the age they are admitted to the playgroup in the Nursery section and progress through NURSERY 1 and NURSERY II. After which they graduate to the primary section of the school. The pupils will progress from primary one to six, where they finally leave the school for Junior Secondary School.
The School is proud of it's seasoned and dedicated staff and grateful to the parents and members of the PTA for their undaunting and immense support all along the course of the school's history.
